Maria Julia Escalona is a dedicated professional in the field of architecture and design who possesses complementary knowledge in administration, project/construction management, graphic communication, digital design, entrepreneurship and in providing academic and practice visions in such fields. Her thoughts and way of understanding conditions and problems allows her to constantly develop new ways of seeing, communication, management, and translation towards design solutions and client engagement in the field of architecture/ construction. Through representation in 2D drawings, 3D modelling, diagramming, and design thinking, she is constantly focused in the shift between academia and professional practice, always looking for new ways of understanding traditional and non-traditional practice of architecture. This dedication to professional practice and academia is influenced by study abroad experiences. These study abroad experiences in Europe and the United States mark her cross disciplinary work between architecture, design, art, and entrepreneurship. In the present, Maria Julia Escalona manages her work as the mother of Ana Sofía, licensed architect, and design consultant in Puerto Rico. Maria Julia is also fluent in english & spanish.

Furthermore, Maria Julia’s ability is based on knowledge, experience and is the result of a profesional career and the opportunity to work with excellent professionals in the design, construction and academic fields in Puerto Rico.

Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.
